Chest Hair Removal

Chest hair removal is a very common thing for many men and women because unwanted hair on the chest can be very embarrassing for some. Removing unwanted hair is a very common concept because, let’s face it, we all have annoying unwanted hair that can greatly hinder our everyday lives. There are multiple hair removal methods that help individuals to remove their unwanted chest hair; while some are temporary, others are permanent. Because of this, researching each method in order to discover which will best suit your individual needs will help you to experience the hair free results that will best fit your lifestyle.

Shaving: Most men and women remove chest hair by shaving. Shaving is the oldest and most widely used temporary hair removal method; it involves passing a razor over the surface of the skin in order to remove visible unwanted hair. While this method of hair removal is quick, easy and convenient, shaving only removes hair from the surface of the skin, therefore unwanted chest hair can grow back anywhere from a few hours to a few days later.

Waxing: Waxing is another widely used method of female and male chest hair removal. This hair removal treatment involves spreading a wax substance over the area of the chest that is being treated. The substance is then covered with a cloth that effectively pulls the wax and the unwanted hair from the chest area. Waxing does have longer lasting results when compared to shaving because the hair is being removed at the follicle level; however it can cause redness and irritation in the treatment area and still only provides temporary results.

Electrolysis: While there are many temporary hair removal methods, many individuals search for permanent chest hair removal. Electrolysis, a hair removal alternative, is the first and only method of hair removal that can be considered 100% permanent. This option for hair removal involves the insertion of a tiny surgical probe, called an epilator, into each individual hair follicle. The epilator sends an electrical current directly to each treated hair follicle. The electrical current effectively destroys the follicle, rendering it inactive. Once each individual hair is effectively treated, it will no longer grow, but it can take a multitude of treatments to treat each chest hair. While electrolysis does provide fantastic permanent hair reduction results, the procedure can take a long time to complete, in some cases years.

Laser Hair Removal: Laser chest hair removal is the newest hair removal option to hit the market and can effectively reduce and in some cases, completely remove any and all unwanted chest hair. This treatment utilizes pigment seeking laser light; the laser is passed over the area of the chest that is being treated and the light passes through the outer layers of skin and into the hair follicles below. The light energy is then converted into heat which effectively destroys actively growing hair follicles in the treatment area, the result: permanent reduction of unwanted chest hair.

Finding the right chest hair removal treatment can be a difficult task, but for men and women that do, they’ll finally be able to live their lives without worrying about pesky, unwanted hair.
